A number of motorists are being caught exceeding the speed limit on camera’s across the UK.
There are a variety of camera’s in operation from temporary fixed camera’s to overhead camera’s on dual carriageways and motorways. In addition average speed camera’s are abound. The alleged offense could be challenged if the correct procedure is not followed by the police or the prosecuting authority.
Speed awareness courses are an option in certain circumstances which would allow the motorist to avoid penalty points being imposed. A very attractive way of dealing with the matter should the motorist accumulate 12 or more points over a short period of time.
A variety of options are also available to avoid a disqualification for penalty points reaching 12.
